I've got lots of browser windows open, and a blogpost half written, and a video I'm watching, and a spreadsheet I'm in the middle of putting together, and a set of photos I'm editing, and a conversation I'm having with somebody on another continent. Why on earth would I want to restart my computer now?

My computer will take ages to shutdown, and even longer to reboot, and all because you insist on installing your new update patch or whatever.
