Thanks for all your helpful advice following Monday's news that half of my blog had disappeared. As yet, alas, Blogger hasn't got round to reversing its Auto-Pagination feature which caused 50% of my monthly archives to vanish. There is evidence that they're considering tweaking it, having spotted it makes a complete mess of certain blogs, but there's no certainty that any of the changes will help my particular situation.
A lot of you suggested transferring to Wordpress.com or Wordpress.org, although there were also various hints that this might be time-consuming, costly and/or frustrating. Some of you advised me to try labels or conditional tags, but I'm not doing that for 4000+ posts. One of you suggested hosting my photos away from Blogger, but I've checked and that doesn't make any difference. One of you's been busy tweaking a Blogger layout template to mirror my classic template, thanks, and this might be a possible solution eventually maybe. But a lot of you just told me to get my act together and host my own website, you bloody cheapskate. Nah, I'm making no moves yet, not while there's still hope of staying put.
