Photographic interlude: New Thames Bridge



This is New Thames Bridge, where the M4 crosses the Thames at Bray.
It was built in 1961 to carry the motorway out of Buckinghamshire into Berkshire.
It's unusual up top because there's a footpath on either side of the dual carriageway, immediately alongside the hard shoulder.
And, as you can see, it's strangely beautiful underneath.
