There's been fresh activity at Bus Stop M after one of the timetable panels was completely ripped off three weeks ago. On Saturday I mentioned this on the blog, and on Tuesday somebody official turned up and did something about it.

What they did was slap on a sticker confirming that they'd noticed the panel was missing, thereby alerting the public that the exposed metalwork was a potential hazard. They also stuck four bits of sticky tape over four small slightly-protruding knobbly bits where the panel used to be attached, to help prevent an unlikely but damaging accident should any passer-by have been scratched, injured or slightly impaled.
The gaping slot in the centre of the mounting remains open, and has been used by one enterprising passenger for the storage of an empty can of lager. Meanwhile only five of the seven bus routes serving the stop have their timetables displayed, and obviously I'll be back to update you on this important story as it happens.
