Last month TfL launched a new Public Transport Safety campaign, or rather updated their previous 2017 campaign with fresh graphics and optimised messaging.
It looks good.
The designs are by illustrator Andrew Hudson for advertising agency VCCP. They're designed to be simple, positive, direct, colourful and a bit retro, on the basis that if they're memorable they might just have an impact on passenger behaviour. All the marketingmags seem to like them.
They appear on platforms, in passageways, in ticket halls and especially at the tops and bottoms of escalators. Some of them move. They're not as wordy as your average TfL health and safety message so even though they're quite direct they don't come over as too nannying. Nobody's let the Brand Froth department anywhere near them.
All your favourites are here... not including See It Say It Sorted because that's nobody's favourite.
Apparently there are 18 designs altogether, and so far I've spotted 10.
