Diamond-shaped stickers have started to appear on the outside of London buses.
They appear on all four sides of the vehicle - most prominently beside the destination on the front.
You may have wondered what the stickers are for.

They are for the fire brigade.
Now they know what kind of engine a bus has if it catches fire.
This sticker on this bus is orange and shows a small diesel pump above an electric spark.
Other stickers have just a spark (orange) or just a pump (grey).
The three types of sticker represent three different types of engine.
• The pump means a diesel bus.
• The spark means an electric bus.
• The pump and the spark means a hybrid bus.
You should not fight a fire on an electric bus with water.
Now if the fire brigade see an orange sticker they know to use foam instead.
This follows a very nasty blaze at Potters Bar bus garage last year which destroyed four diesels and two hybrids.
With stickers on London's buses hopefully this will not happen again.
