With the New Year now in full swing, The Evening Standard's Homes and Property pullout is back at top strength. Yesterday's supplement was 52 pages long, almost as long as the main newspaper (although it's never quite overtaken it yet). As a publication which reflects the lives of everyday Londoners, this weekly supplement is of course an accurate impression of the state of the capital's property market. So I thought I'd capture its content for posterity, ranking the individual features by market value as a guide to geographical affordability. For classification purposes I've assumed a first time buyer attempting to live in London, and identified the lowest priced property in each development, feature article and estate agent's advert. How far down the list can you afford to live?
