TfL's Programmes & Investment committee is meeting next week, and papers for the meeting provide an update on a range of projects across various transport services in London. For your information, and for future reference, here's when it's hoped various programmes and projects will be substantially complete.
1 January 2021: Woolwich Ferry - maintenance and operation taken in house January 2021: Old Street Roundabout - main traffic switch March 2021: 4LM - signalling switchover between Euston Square, Monument and Stepney Green March 2021: Piccadilly Line Upgrade – final design of new rolling stock autumn 2021:Northern Line Extension 2021: step-free stations at Amersham, Debden, Osterley, Ickenham; then Wimbledon Park, Harrow-on-the-Hill, Sudbury Hill first half of 2022:Crossrail (central section) September 2022: devolution of services from Moorgate to Hertford North/Welwyn Garden City/Stevenage (if permitted) autumn 2022:Barking Riverside Extension 2022: Bank Station Upgrade 2023: 4LM - resignalling of Circle, H&C, District and Metropolitan lines complete* 2024/25:Silvertown Tunnel 2024/25: DLR - additional rolling stock introduced 2026/27: Piccadilly Line Upgrade - new rolling stock introduced 2027/28:High Speed 2 2029/30: Elephant & Castle station upgrade
