4 4 23 quiz
Using the digits 4 4 2 and 3 in that order can we make all the whole numbers from 1 to 24?
We're looking for the simplest expression using only these digits and common mathematical symbols.
Acceptable symbols: + - × ÷ ( )
For example: 15 = 4×4+2-3, 21 = 44-23
1 = 4-4-2+3 2 = 4÷4-2+3 3 = 4+4-2-3 4 = -4÷4+2+3 5 = 4-4+2+3 6 = 4-4+2×3 7 = 4+4+2-3 8 = 4×(4+2)÷3
|
9 = 4+4-2+3 10 = 4×4−2×3 11 = 4×4-2-3 12 = (4+4)÷2×3 13 = 4+4+2+3 14 = 4+4+2×3 15 = 4×4+2-3 16 = 4+4+2³
|
17 = 4×4-2+3 18 = 4+42÷3 19 = 44÷2-3 20 = -4+4×2×3 21 = 44-23 22 = 4×4+2×3 23 = 4-4+23 24 = 4÷4+23
