I don't know if you've ever noticed, but some tube station names have apostrophes.
And some don't.
with: Earl's Court, King's Cross St Pancras, Queen's Park, Regent's Park, St James's Park, St John's Wood, St Paul's, Shepherd's Bush
without: Barons Court, Canons Park, Gants Hill, Golders Green, Parsons Green, Rayners Lane
It's not consistent, it's just how it is.
Perhaps the most inconsistent station is St James's Park.
Most of the roundels say St James's Park...
...but one on the eastbound platform still says St James' Park instead.
This was the name of the station prior to 1951.
Several old tube maps actually called it St James Park, but let's not go there.
Amongst former Underground stations two did and one didn't.
with: Lord's, St Mary's (Whitechapel Road) without: Carpenders Park
Overground and DLR stations tend not to have apostrophes, only one bucks the trend.
with: Walthamstow Queen's Road without: Devons Road, Gallions Reach, Highams Park, Queens Road Peckham, St James Street
At other rail stations in London the name is almost always apostropheless.
with: King's Cross without: Bowes Park, Crews Hill, Elmers End, Haydons Road, Palmers Green, Petts Wood, Ponders End, Raynes Park, St Johns, St Margarets
On National Rail outside London apostrophes are exceptionally rare.
Not even Exeter St Davids.
with: Cobham and Stoke D'abernon, Hall-I'-Th'-Wood without: all the others
West Midlands Metro has St Paul's but also St Chads.
Nottingham Express Transit has Queen's Medical Centre but also Queens Walk.
Manchester Metrolink has St Peter's Square, St Werburgh's Road and the double whammy of Besses o' th' Barn.
The New York subway only has one apostrophe which is East 143rd Street–St. Mary's Street
The Paris Metro does apostrophes differently.

Honolulu's Skyline appears to be 31% apostrophied.
